There’s No Feeling, Where There’s No Pain

In his expansion of the real exhibition space, Manuel Rossner draws the arc from the foundations of human perception to a future in which physical limitations are overcome and human actors coexist with artificial ones.

With the help of virtual reality, which grants the visitor access to a parallel world, the artist connects the MdbK with the cotton mill, creating a fourth space in which people meet from both positions. The collision of the two places creates a distorted image of the existing spaces that simultaneously challenges our expectations of physics and questions the human ability to construct reality.
